Well the only way I found around it was to get the persons email, and advertise to them like that. Nobody would know why you were getting their email, and it's not advertising on the site...all it is, is asking a friend for their email address.

I found that to be an effective advertising method for the sister site.

hmm you make a good point. But what if someone is reluctant to give you their e-mail/ and or/ they think its "spam" related? what would you do then?


occ: i'm only asking these questions so that i can try to effectively advertise without messing up XD

well we dont want you to really advertise at all end of story. this ensure no one suffers any consequences of it.

just leavew the advertising to us staff.

I had made a thread about this topic in the Staff Room but I moved it into this forum...We can discuss safe ways of advertising, and that be the ONLY way to advertise so that this never happens to anyone again.
